do you think bad cleaning habits is a filipino thing?
i don't think any of my family's homes would be up to the cleaning standard of most americans'. even the ex, who was quite tolerant of my lackadaisical housekeeping skillz, was turned off by the lack of emphasis on cleaning in most of my relatives' houses.

My mom's side of the fam, imo, live really messy. Not just messy but not clean. My dad's side is borderline OCD organized and clean. Really odd.
It's been such a hard adjustment cleaning the way DH (half Japanese) is used to and likes it. Thank goodness he does most of it.
