What does R.S.V.P stand for?
I apoligize if this is a dumb question but I am wondering...
I recieved a baby shower invite and I am not going; and then husband msg me and said they host had not heard from me was I going.. and I responded no that is why I didnt RSVP; he said you do rsvp NO; So... what does R.S.V.P stand for! Thanks ladies

It's French for Please Respond. It does mean "please respond either way", either yes or no
I could be wrong, but I think etiquette would say that you should always respond if it is a no. The only responses I have ever seen on invitations are an RSVP (with a date) or a statement saying "Regrets Only", where you would only respond if you could not attend.
