Transport help needed: Arlington, TX to Alvin, TX
Hi all. I rarely post here but am an old knottie with a new name. My son Beckett and I frequently volunteer for various groups transporting dogs from one city to the next usually in a long chain of volunteers working to get dogs safe into rescues out of this area (pics in my blog). This weekend there are tons of urgent transports and not enough drivers. If any of you have never transported before and want to know more, you can page me on Pets. I'm going to crosspost the various runs available here in hopes someone feels like taking a mini road trip for a good cause. TIA

Arlington Animal Shelter has not been this full since I can remember.
Brazoria Humane has stepped up and offered to take 15 to 20 small dogs.
However, we need to get transport to them this week/weekend.
This is a phenomenal offer so that more dogs can walk out alive. The kill list that is coming out for the foreseeable future is VERY frightening. It includes MANY pure breds, pups, well mannered, good looking dogs. This is one of the good shelters. They really work at adoptions and with rescues. There's only so much these folks can do without our help!
PLEASE let's show them support.
I'm pretty sure we can get some crates and gas money to help!
We need a driver (or passenger maybe) to help with this trip. If you want to forward to someone, remember we need to check out drivers thoroughly! I am sending this to a very short list of very trustworthy folks. You guys know the type people we're looking for!
For those of you who really want to help, but can't foster, this is a chance to not only save these 15 plus dogs, but that is 15 less that have to be killed in the shelter!
Please let me know.
