my face is burning...& other random crap

I just started using proactive- again. I don't know how long ago i started using it. Maybe a year, maybe less I'm not sure- anyways. I don't use it like I should because it makes my eyebrows peel (lol ew i know). but they get all dandruffy and its gross. So i mostly just use the mask thing bc it usualy gets rid of zits really quickly.... So they shipped me a box a few months ago and i put it somewhere and couldn't find it- well i found it. So i started using it on monday. It's the extra strength (why I have no idea, i dont think i asked for extra strength). So my face is burning. It's 11 and I washed my face around 645. lol is that normal? It didn't burn until i put that stupid lotion on..... I want to go wash my face but I didn't bring my makeup bag today and i'm sure not sitting here w/ no make up on all day..

Do you ever see inmates working on the side of the road and wonder what they did to get them there? Every week I see inmates in the same spot cleaning up around this lake. Every time I drive by them I cant help but wonder what they did to get them in jail. I wouldn't think it could be anything to bad, i dont think they let serial killers stay in the Polk county jail for 1, and 2 i doubt they would be outside the jail on work detail. Just a thought. My cousin was in a FL state prison for 11 years. He just got released in Oct 08. For the longest time(before I learned he was no where near where we lived) I would always look for him when I would see the prisoners out on work detail (that is sad huh?) He was put in prison when I was 11 or 12. So I don't really know him, i don't know that I would recognized him if I tripped over him.

I'm obviously bored at work today. Can you tell?

Re: my face is burning...& other random crap

  • I'd call customer service on the ProActiv and tell them they sent the wrong strength and have it switched.  I would assume that is the difference and the reason for the burning sensation if it's never happened before.

I have never once seen inmates working on the side of the road (other than on t.v.) but, yesh, I imagine I would wonder what had happened if I ever did see it in person.

  • Hmm, I wonder if the inmates working is a FL thing. I see them all over the place. I saw them out while I was at lunch. There is always a correction officer and then several inmates. maybe 5-10. they mow, pick up track & weed eat around the lake.

Well it has burned before w/ the other strength, but never for the entire day.

  • I agree... call ProActiv customer service and see if you can't get the regular formula - and maybe some free stuff for your inconvenience:)

I do sometimes see inmates, so you are not alone. Maybe next time I will wonder more, what exactly did they do??

Hope your afternoon gets more exciting and goes by quick!

  • Well IMO your face should NOT be burning!!!!

As for the inmates..they are trustees.  They have to earn the right to work outside.  The crimes are usually DUI, Drug, Theft, and Child Support.  I do not beleive they let violent or sex offenders on road crew.  At least not in Cali.

Here we have road crew and fire crew.  Road crew is usually county jail trustees, and fire crew are prison camp trustees.

  • Dh got in all kinds of trouble when he was 17-18 and he always tells me stories of having to work on the side of the road...kinda scary. If I am with him and we see them, we try to play a "game" and guess what they did. Most of the time you can tell the people caught w/drugs and all that stuff.

well my face is burning again today- but i didn't use any more pro-active. i think its just bc i got sunburnt on vacay and now my face is starting to peel so the skin under neath is extra sensitive or something. i just used reg face wash , put lotion on, and then makeup...started to burn after the make up- i'll just have to deal w/ it bc i am NOT sitting at work w/ out make up on.
