Bikini vs Brazilian Waxes

Has anyone had the Brazilian versus the normal bikini?

I am seriously considering trying the Brazilian, but want to understand a bit more.  I had one aesthetician explain it as bikini cleans it up, but Brazilian is EVERYTHING, like ALL UP IN your business (including changing positions during the waxing to get different angles for different areas.)  I am not interested in having it ALL taken off; up until now, I've just had bikini waxes and had them take the wax further in on the sides, but it's never been exactly what I wanted.  So I'm thinking if I say Brazilian but leave the "landing strip", it'll be more what I'm looking for.

Re: Bikini vs Brazilian Waxes

  • My understanding of a brazilian is it leaves you BARE!  I've heard of people leaving a "landing strip" before.  I don't do waxes so I'm no expert.

Yes, I know that.  I'd probably have them leave something, but I'm not ga-ga about how much they're leaving even when I ask them to take off more with the bikini waxes.  I'm mostly curious just how bad the other areas the Brazilian includes are to get waxed.  And just how awkward it is having to change positions and such.

  • I dont mess around. i get it ALL taken off. the only other positions i have to do is roll over onto my sides and put my legs in the air. it's more painful in some areas but it goes fast. i also get sugared which is supposed to hurt more...going to find a waxer.
Damn you Nest for screwing up my siggy!

  • Thanks, I think, Val. LOL  And sugaring definitely hurts more. Tongue Tied  I had it done on my lower legs once and I was in tears when she got near my ankles.

  • I love Brazilian's.  Usually when I go I start on my back and then get on all fours.  I have them take everything off, I've never had a problem with them and although I am prone to ingrown hairs I never get them with waxing.  I'd say go for it!
