We are going to need to get another stroller that can accommodate 2 kidlets. We currently have a Valco and I love it but I am not sold on the toddler seat. I do like the Phil & Ted's but I don't think DS would sit in the back, I think he would just be annoyed with not being able to see in front of him. A girl at my work may be selling her Peg Perego (?) Duette. Do any of you ladies have one or have any other recs? TIA!
Re: Double Strollers
Hello Lovely!
We got a Phil & Ted's and what I plan on doing for the first few months is having J on the extra seat installed on the front (there is a higher weight limitit when it is installed on the front and having the baby in the P&T Cocoon in the main seat, once she is big enough I will move her the extra seat to the back and keep J in the main seat.
Holly, I thought Sloane would totally hate the lower seat and planned on having her sit with the toddler seat mounted on the front and the baby laying down below. As it turns out, she is totally fine in the lower seat and I can clip in Payton's carseat on the front no problem. She is no crankier in there than she is in any other stroller. I go running all the time with them both that way.
I went from quite reluctant to buy the P & T to really liking it.
Since Neve is a bit older and a determined walker; she doesn't always like being strapped in, we went with the "stroller and a half" options which allow an older child to sit or stand.
We considered the new Joovy Ergo

and I eventually discovered a fairly new American brand called Mia Moda. They make a model called the Compagno that was a little less expensive than the Joovy Ergo and more suited to our needs. It also accomodates an infant seat so it's a "from birth" double stroller. So we went with this model:

My only caveats with it are that its sunshade is a bit on the small side and that the wheels aren't as high of quality as other higher-end strollers. They are very sturdy, we've used it a fair bit already but you wouldn't want to do any jogging in it. It's a lovely, moderately priced, "strolling" stroller.
HTH!
