Where do you get your Barbies? I need some insider tips on finding an Enchanted Giselle Barbie (wearing the mauve dress). Have you come across any of these lately?
We?ve looked at all the regular places (Target, Wal Mart, TRU), but since this movie was released a few years ago, they no longer carry the Giselle in stores. We have a Mattel outlet close to my house and that place doesn't have it either. (BTW, when I go there, it reminds me of your Barbie collection pics, lol.)
I?ve seen them on places like eBay for $30 or Amazon for around $40, but I?m looking for a lower priced option.
TIA!

Re: 10YearsTogether
i can't help but laugh at this post, but i have no room to talk as i used to collect all of the holiday barbies once upon a time.
Hey! I'm not hardcore that I go to auctions or have super secret places I get the dolls from. Honestly, I usually just get them from the Barbie COllector site, Target (they used to carry them), Toys R Us.
Have you checked ebay?
I don't remember an Enchanted Giselle Barbie - is it a Disney or other brand doll? I've had luck getting barbies from ebay in the past too, so I'd check there! GL!
Ssinca - I'm a kid myself! At heart, that is.
::takes a bow:: I?m only here to entertain.
I had 2 Barbies ever, when I was 9 years old. But my grandma threw them away because they weren?t ?educational.? My DD is 3.5 and already has 13 Barbies and a Prince Eric doll, lol.
no five stars for this one.
I have no idea what I'll do with these dolls in the future. If I never have a daughter, I'll be stuck with them. Or I can give them to mboc's sextuplets or something.
I'm antsy.
whatcutalkinbout, willis? this is a 5 star post if I've ever seen one!
Thanks, and I had no idea there was a Barbie Collectors site, wow. I?ll check it out. The doll is made by Mattel and Enchanted is a Disney movie, but I?m actually not sure if it?s considered a ?Barbie.?
BTW, here?s a photo of what I?m talking about?
LOL. My DD loves Barbie and also enjoys The Chipmunks. I think she would make you her BFF until she discovers that you don?t open any of your Barbie doll boxes. Then she would accuse you of not being good at sharing, hehe.
I admit that whenever I'm at the Mattel outlet, I always stop to check out the Vera Wang Barbie.
I bought one for a friend's daughter last year from one of the stores in Downtown Disney -- you may want to try there!

They have it on ebay! I saw!
Me and your DD could play with Barbies but mine would have to stay in their boxes. That's what I had to do when I was little. I'd have dolls I could play with and they usually ended up naked or with chopped hair and painted faces bc I'd go nuts when I was finally able to "play" with a doll.
I've tried a few, with no success. Most of the associates don?t even know WTH I?m talking about, so I just go through the entire store myself only to be disappointed that they don?t have it.
It left me quite troubled that they have not watched Enchanted.
Thanks! I'm wondering if it was World of Disney? I will make sure to check it out during our next Disney trip in a few weeks. I'm going to take a photo of the doll next time, hehe.
I have no words.
What if I told you that my DD has a My Melody Barbie?? Notice the pink, thigh high, fishnets. Klassy, no?
