Weekend POLL: Summer Movies

What new movies have you seen so far and what movies are you still looking forward to seeing yet?

Re: Weekend POLL: Summer Movies

  • So far...

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen & The Proposal and I really liked both.  I want to see The Ugly Truth too because I think it looks really cute.

  • I saw The Proposal and Bruno.  Loved The Proposal, felt violated at Bruno.  I guess I don't find SBC very funny...I didn't think Borat was that funny either.  I am excited to see The Ugly Truth.

  • Okay I thought of more...well, actually cheated and looked up a list! My MIL and her friend go to the movies every Monday night.  They have been doing this for about 25 years!  Now they include their daughters and daughter-in-laws, so I get to see alot of stuff that comes out.

If you count back to the end of April...I saw

    Obsessed (4-24)

    Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (5-1)

    Angels and Demons (5-15)

    My Life In Ruins (6-5)

    My Sister's Keeper (6-26)

I am also looking forward to Funny People, Julie and Julia, The Time Traveler's Wife and Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs (one of my favorite books!).

  • Not a huge movie goer, but last weekend DH and I went to see "Up."  I was skeptical becaucse I thought it was a kids movie, but it was AMAZING!!  I haven't laughed/cried that much during one movie in a long time.

I think it's been out for a while so if you haven't seen it, try to catch it before it's gone!!

Oh and DrVWife... I totally agree with you- I can not WAIT for Julie and Julia!

  • Up made me cry like a baby.  I was trying not to sob in the theater.  That said, I really liked it. We went to see Harry Potter tonight, it was ok.

I can't wait for Julie and Julia!  The book was really good, I hope the movie doesn't disappoint.  I also want to see (500) Days of Summer, My Life in Ruins, and Food, Inc.

  • We've only seen The Proposal so far. I'd like to see  My Sister's Keeper, Time Traveler's Wife and Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs.

  • The only one that's popping into my head now is The Hangover - very funny!

I want to see Funny People and The Time Traveler's Wife when they come out.

Now off to google "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs"...

  • I saw My Sister's Keeper and The Hangover.  Both were good.  My Sister's Keeper is a real tear-jerker though.

I'd like to see The Proposal as well as The Time Traveler's Wife.
