Good Morning (Monday)

Morning Ladies. How was everyone's weekend? Besides being way too short.

Re: Good Morning (Monday)

  • My weekend was really good. Sat morning my parents pick up the kids around 8:30, that was rough since we had to wake Isabel up and she is not a morning person so she was crying while we were trying to get her in the car. My parents said about a min away she was perfectly away. Than I hit some yardsales and thrift stores. Than my haircut, tried a new place and really like it. Not too expensive and just 5min from my house. Than DH and I had our eye appt. Tried a new place 2min from our house and we both really like the dr and staff. Next was a quick lunch, than fridge shopping and a couple other little stops. (BONUS-we found a couple Christmas presents. I am determined to be done with xmas shopping really early this year)

Next was the batting cages, SO MUCH FUN!! What a great stress relief. Than on the way home we found out we are getting a Sonic in Murrieta, whoohoo. Than a nice dinner out. Home to catch up on SYTYCD.

Sun-cleaning,yardwork,moved some furniture,a little grocery shopping and my parents dropped the kids off around 4. All in all a really good weekend.

And oh yeah my pre pregnancy jeans fit!!

  • Kat - that's awesome that you're already getting Christmas presents out of the way!

    My weekend was busy.

Friday I had a newborn session. I honestly cannot remember what we did Friday night.

Saturday I cleaned, and edited. I had a maternity session Saturday night, then dinner with friends at PF Changs

I scratched my cornea late Saturday night, I'm not sure how though....

That really sucked because I had a 8AM session Saturday morning that I couldn't postpone. My eye was KILLING ME!. I spent most of yesterday in the dark afterwards. I did leave the house to go buy new glasses and sunglasses

The glasses cheered me up because my camera also broke yesterday. Actually, it was a recall on the camera, so Canon is paying for the repair. Still sucks though...

Val that sucks about your cornea. Hope it feels better. It's pretty funny about your glasses since on sat I bought these http://eyeglasses.go-optic.com/store/eyeglasses/details.asp?id=18228

I was super excited to find glasses I really liked, that were only $30 over my insurance allowance.

  • Morning!

Kat - yay for pre preg jeans!

Val - a scratched cornea sounds pretty unpleasant. At least you got some new glasses out of it!

Saturday we had our home inspection. It went well, just some deferred maintenance issues. After that we window shopped at Lowe's for future house stuff.

Sunday just church and then cake for my mom's b-day. I also spent some time playing with Photoshop. I edited some of my wedding pics and am pretty pleased. Knowing what I know now, I can't believe our photog didn't do any editing ...

  • Didn't really do much this weekend....Friday i have no clue what we did??  Sat MH worked on our boat, as the the last time we were put we got a big chip in it from and easy up, so he did some bosy work and painting on it.   and then yesterday spent the afternoon at a friends house and was in the pool, which was nice :-)  Today i think i am metting up with some friend and doing lunch at BJs :-)

Those are cute! I was a little annoyed when I went searching for a link with a pic of my frames. I paid waaayyy more than I saw them for online right now. Then again, I was kind of in an emergency and didn't have time to price shop...

Yeah that does suck. Luckily this site had them for only $40 less than I saw them for at the dr. I wonder how much they charge for lenses though. That's what brings up the price of my glasses. The high index lenses and the anti glare coating

I knew LensCrafters was the only place who would be able to make me glasses yesterday (Sundays...) but I didn't like their frames selection. I went to an optometrist at Victoria Gardens (the store is open sundays, just not the doc) and bought the coach frames there. I took them to lendcrafters to have my lenses put in. I paid $161 for the lenses alone....that was with a 15% AAA discount.

    Glasses are expensive.

  • Happy Monday!

We had a busy weekend!  Friday night, C and I went out to dinner at Mario's for our anniversary.  We then went to the Mission Inn for drinks and then to At My Place in Corona for dueling pianos.  It was so much fun!  Quite the "big" night for us!  :-)

Saturday, I had my "spa day" at Lavish in Riverside.  They're having an awesome deal now...Their Victoria Tropical package...an express mani/pedi, eyebrow waxing, hour long facial, hour long massage and a free gift for $165!  It goes to the end of August so I think I'll be going back again next month!  The free gift I got was a $45 facial mask that the gal used on me.  I then had a bunch of errands to run for Jr League.  That night I went to a Bunco party for Jr League - I'd never played before so it was a lot of fun!

Sunday we went to Disneyland and got our annual passes.  It was so freaking hot!!  We only got on 3 rides...Pirates of the Caribbean (Sarah kinda liked...she was afraid of the dark, mostly), Haunted Mansioan (which she like a couple months ago and didn't seem to care for this time but never really cried) and Its A Small World (which of course she LOVED).  We then had some lunch and went home.  We just couldn't stand the heat anymore.  Just hung out the rest of yesterday which was nice.

Now we have to start getting ready for our trip to Reno next weekend...we leave on Friday!

Hope everyone has a great day!

  • Morning everyone! Weekend was way too short but we got a lot done. Friday I started cleaning up and packing while H went out for a few hours with his friend. Sat took D to the park for awhile then headed up to LA to meet my parents for dinner and the show. Everything was great until we got pulled over on the way back (see my other post) :(

Sun did laundry and packed, its suppose to be 90+ and 80% humidity in nicaragua so I think I packed my entire summer wardrobe out of fear I would sweat out of everything.

Today lots to do at work before I leave then last minute errands and packing then off to the airport!

  • Good morning. I did nothing this weekend. Well not really anything. Saturday I went to the Nordies sale and bought 2 bras and a pair of PJ pants. Sunday I went to Sams. Today I don't really want to go anywhere. Don't think that will be hard. ;p
  • Good Morning Ladies,

Friday, I picked up my stepkids and we went home and watied for DH to come home, we cooked dinner and went in the pool.

Saturday, I had my first course 3 cake decorating class, then came home and went in the pool.  BBQ'd some steaks for dinner and watched tv with the family.

Sunday, we got up and went to Tanaka Farms in Irvine for their watermelon tour.  It was really neat, they take you on a tractor ride around the farm with various stops throughout so you can sample fruits and veggies straight from the field.  They are all organic so you can pick and eat them.  We got to try tomatoes from the vine, radishes, green onions, cilantro, and carrots.  Then we made our way to the watermelon patches where we got to try 2 different kinds of cucumber, zucchini, and the yellow and pink watermelon.  Then they let you pick your own watermelon.  It was really fun and my stepkids (7 and 12) enjoyed it.  Then we came home and got in the pool.  After the kids left, DH and I went for sushi and shabu shabu.

  • Kat - Congrats on the jeans- what an awesome feeling!

Val - Sorry about the scratched cornea- ouch! And the camera- what a pain :(

Becki- Congrats on the home inspection- and of course Lowes shopping- It seems like my H and me are there weekly!

Fthtrstnpxiedst- Where are you taking cake decorating classes? I've always wanted to try! Tanaka Farms sounds like great- I've never heard of them!

I went to the OC fair with some girlfriends this weekend- I haven't been to a fair in over 10 years- it was interesting to see how much fried junk food there is at that place, lol!  They even had deep fried white castle burgers- weird.  Got a little bit of sun at the beach then went to Maggianos for dinner :)  The rest of the weekend was spent cleaning - nothing too exciting.

This week I'll be in South Central LA for training again- fun times.
