I can't stand studying!

Sorry, just need to vent for a moment.  I am currently studying for my board exam for physical therapy, and I am taking the test on this coming Friday.

Every once in a while I just get SICK of studying!!  I thought I was supposed to be done with this when I finished grad school!

I know it will be over soon, which is good, but it also makes me nervous that the exam is SOOO soon.

Sorry for the little rant, but DH is pretty sick of me complaining to him about it!  I just keep thinking to myself... 5 more days.... 5 more days...

Re: I can't stand studying!

  • Good luck! I understand... I finished my BS and thought that I was done. Well I ended up going back to school to get a different degree after the economy fell because there were no jobs available in my BS degree, and I get angry that I have to do this over again. I am in grad school, so it is a better degree, but I am mad that I had to go back to begin with.

  • I completely understand...since my BS degree I've had to take exams for my personal training certification, clinical exercise specialist certification, and the first level of my Pilates teaching certification which I still have 2 more levels and a total comprehensive (like boards) exam to take until I'm fully certified.  It's so stressful.

Good luck with the rest of your studying and with the upcoming exam!

  • Good luck! ?I'm a physical therapist, and I remember those days! ?The studying will be totally worth it in the end. ?I started studying in March after we had our prep class with a study group and took my exam the first week in july. ?Meanwhile I graduated, got married, got a puppy, bought a house, and started a new job. ?I was ready to be done studying when I took the exam. ?It was so great to pass! ?Now i'll never have to take one again, haha, that is, unless i decide to specialize, which is not going to come for a few more years after we are done with kids, if even then, haha. ?Just take your time! ?You actually have so much more time than you think! ?And, in case you didnt do any yet, make sure you have taken plenty of practice tests!
  • Good luck!  I hope the exam goes well.  Studying a lot definitely is a huge sacrifice to the rest of your life but it will be worth it in the end.

  • Thanks for all the encouragement ladies!!

I have taken lots of practice tests, they usually go well- I just can't get myself to relax and be confident, even though I know I have been preparing forever.  I'll just be glad when it's over!

It's on Friday morning, and I can not WAIT until it's over!
