XP: Teaching Jobs Question

I also posted this on The Bump, in case you frequent both sites :)

My mom is looking for a teaching job in the Fort Worth area because she is hoping to move here since I am having a baby. She realizes she is looking really late and may not be able to find anything for this year, but she wanted to go ahead and apply places that said they still needed people just in case she might get something. She's been teaching for a number of years (I think 24) and is also a certified dyslexia teacher. She is mainly looking for dyslexia or 3, 4, 5, or 6 grades.

She is applying at Southlake and Keller but I don't know of any other good districts/schools to recommend to her. So, I have two questions for y'all:

1. Do any of you work in Keller or Southlake or know someone who does that could give her some tips? I told her to call the principals of the schools that were hiring and she is planning on doing that.

2. Can you recommend any other schools that she should look into for positions?

Like I said, she knows she won't necessarily get anything this year but she still wants to look and she'd still like the information even for looking for next year if she doesn't get something this year. Thanks!
