Well you can get the roll out kind by Wilton at Michaels, but I haven't had any luck with that stuff. It's full of presertives, so it can sit on shelves for months maybe even years.
I went to Central Market and talked to the pastry chef and he let me buy some of his stock. We negotiated a price and he even let me have his food gel dye for it. I went to the Central Market on Greenville and Lovers. Maybe you coudl work out the same deal near Arlington.

Elizabeth's cake supplies in Euless might be easier for you, but call ahead to make sure they have it, it's a really small shop.
If you're going to make it, make chocolate fondant and then color it black, you'll never get white fondant black enough with food coloring.
