I'm having a hard time with my parent's move....

Their house was offically listed on Tuesday. My MIL is their Realtor, so it's actually a nice situation....

However, everytime I think about the For Sale sign on their lawn and the thought that they're going to be 2 hours away, my eyes well up. I think I need one good cry, then I'll feel better!

On a positive note, the house they're selling in Wash. Twp. is beautiful, and the lucky buyers-to-be (whoever they may be) will have a pristine home with lots of beautiful upgrades.

Re: I'm having a hard time with my parent's move....

  • I felt the same way, but you'll have some time to adjust.  I still get kind of sad when I think that it's not their house anymore b/c I pretty much grew up there.

I'm sure they're kind of sad too...it's never easy to move.

  • When my parents moved, we all had a huge slumber party the last night together and kinda reminisced. They had a huge New Years party, too, and all of us, our cousins and their friends/family all came. It was nice to leave with some great memories.

Maybe make some last-minute memories when they get a buyer?

  • Just do what I did.  Buy your parents house so no one else has to sleep in your room.
