1. Thanks to Twitter I found out about a presale for a concert I would move heaven and earth to go to. I couldn't get tickets last time because they all sold out in the presale...that I didn't know about.

2. Twitter got me 50% off of EVERYTHING (Including drinks) at Luna Park in LA because of a special Twitter-only password.

    I'm glad at least one person on this board is Twitter friendly. Only La(Le) and myself use Twitter over on Trouble in Paradise. Everyone else is a Twitter hater over there!

    I was a Twitter hater for awhile, but then I signed up and started using it...and now I really like it! Yes I thought it was exactly the same as fb status updates, but it has its own benefits.

    Haha yeah that was pretty much my reason to not get on it at first as well. Just wait, all the haters will get on it eventually! I remember getting on facebook in like 2004 and everyone saying it was so stupid and they would never get on. Now all of those people are on it and use it all the time, ha!

    You can follow celebrities, which is kinda fun sometimes. I follow some of my favorite authors and bands.

    Aside from discounts and insider information, I get a random sampling of news and articles that interest me based on the people I follow. I tend to follow those that post about politics, fitness, nutrition, and running for the most part
