Has anyone seen a concert at the San Manuel Amphitheater?
Hubs and I are making the trek out there tomorrow to go see Journey. - I know, I know we're huge dorks.
Is it pretty similar to Verison Amphitheater? Or is it like Hollywood Bowl where you can bring a basket of food and blanket?
Re: Has anyone seen a concert at the San Manuel Amphitheater?
Shoot, I havent been there in like 10 years..whew, how time flies! I saw my first concert there! Aerosmith
Anyway, I sat in seats and would compare it more to VA.
Have SO much fun....jealousE!!
keep an eye out for kimarino!
No WAY!
I LURVE Kimarino.. I'll have to email her.
I went to a couple concerts (Inland Invasion I think?) there several years ago.
I would advise shelling out the extra $$$ for the premium/VIP parking pass. The general parking is a pain to get out of and can be a creepy walk after dark depending on where you end up. I don't know what the current rules are for bringing stuff in, but the last time I went they were turning away people at the gate who had coolers and backpacks.
Have fun! Our work was offering Journey tickets for $6 and I would have gone, but our No Doubt tickets are for the same night.
$6!
Yep. They were also offering $6 tickets for today's Crue Fest. It's the first time they've offered deals like this for county employees; I hope it continues.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
oh, for sure! and I went to inland invasion there about 6 yrs ago. all I remember is that it was fvcking hotter than hell. and the cure was pretty good.
It seems that all of us were at the same Inland Invasion.
What a PITA it was to get out.
Is this the one in De Vore? I went about 6 years ago. I made DH leave during The Cure?s set. I?m not a big Cure fan.
It was so freaking hot that day. Ugh.
ha, who knew we could have had a GTG so long ago (with champagna)!
I do remember the traffic being pretty awful.
I know, lol! I recently discovered that one of my close CWs was there too. She is a HUGE Cure fan and went WTH? when I told her that I hauled my ass out of there after the second Cure song. Hee.
you were smart! I think we left early, too - nothing irritates me more than being stuck in a parking lot.
Ditto that. It was a pretty good show from what I recall, despite the traffic and heat, lol.
Have fun tomorrow Mrs50%! I now have "Open Arms" playing in my head...
I have been there a couple times and remember getting out and home (to my parent's house) super fast. But I always leave a little early.
Concert's at 8 pm, so I am hoping it cools down by then. I f'n hate being hot.

We all really were at that same Inland Invasion w/ The Cure. I left early too.
I also went the year prior, a month after I moved down here, by myself. Not a good idea. I remember walking for what seemed like forever in the wash under the 215 in the darkness trying to get back to my car. While I was semi-stoned from the secondhand mj smoke. I spent the 15 minute drive home praying that I wouldn't get pulled over, because I sure felt "under the influence".
