hey ladies.
a close friend is needing to go on birth control for the first time in a very long time. please share which brand birth control you have used and if you like it or didn't and why. she said she doesn't really know many people IRL who've been on BC. i told her my experience, but i'm only one opinion.
Re: birth control
I was on Orthotricylen for awhile and then switched to Yasmin and now I'm on Yaz.
I like Yaz the best out of all of them. It's made my periods lighter, helped with cramps and reduced my mood swings--H is happy with that.
I was on NuvaRing and had terrible long episodes of bleeding. three weeks of beeding, three weeks of not bleeding. It sucked for me.
Now I'm on Seasonique (have been since Winter 2005) and I love it. 4 periods a year, and the ones I do have are next to nothing. My MOH was on it and spotted terribly and couldn't remain.
Everyone reacts differerntly especially when it comes to birth control. She's going to have to find one that appeals to her lifestyle and then it is all trial and error from there.
Good luck!
