Help Me pick DD's Baptism dress

We found great deals on both of these dresses but we can't decide on which one we should get.  Sorry that I can't get PIP to work for some reason so I'll have to give you the links.

Dress #1 has the virgin mary embroidered on the front bottom part of the dress itself  and sequin detail along the top.  The cape just has a lace border and tiny embroidered flowers all over. http://www.kiddykidswear.com/baptism-rt9207.html

Dress #2 has doves on either side of the cape, the virgin Mary embroidered on the back and large embroidered flower detail along the edges.  The dress itself is quite plain, with just a bit of embroidered detail and a few sequins at the top. http://www.kiddykidswear.com/baptism-rt9100.html

Which one do you like better and why? If it makes a difference it is for a catholic baptism

TIA

Re: Help Me pick DD's Baptism dress

  • They are both pretty but I like #2 (RT9100) best.  I really like the back and the overall shape, it reminds of the beautiful dress styles from the early 19th century and I think the simpler style of #2 makes the embroidery accents it does have stand out more beautifully.
  • I love the first dress. It's so pretty. I love the over coat. The waistband, the lace detail.

  • I like number 2, it's plainer than number one, but so beautiful!!
  • I like number 1 best - but then I've always been called a magpie and am attracted to anything shiny! :)

  • I vote for #1

For some reason the cape makes it feel like the dress is 'softer/lighter" maybe because it's a see-through type material. I like it better

+ I like all the details...it more 'worked up' than the second one - perfect for a princess LOL

  • I personally like number one best.. it is beautiful and has elements of detail with or without the cape. number two is simpler and pretty but it seems like the cape is the part that has detail on it.

  • I like the first dress. I think the detail of the Virgin Mary on the front is nice and it`ll be more visible than the other dress. I like the cape better also, because it`s a different fabric than the dress, it adds a really nice element of texture to the whole outfit - and I think it would look better in photos.
