Re: How was your weekend?

  • Camping was a lot of fun and not too much work.  It was the first time I had gone with just DH and it was so much fun reconnecting with him.  Our summer has been busy so it's hard to get some good quality time in.

DH is gone this week for work and I'm going crazy already!  I don't know how you ladies with traveling DHs handle it!

  • We had a good weekend. We went to a local bar Friday night to hear a friend's band play. I can to the conclusion that going out is no longer for me.

Saturday we went to DH's late parent's house to do some work fixing it up with his brother, so we can put it up for sale next week. We came home after lunch and napped (much needed). After we worked in our flower bed to clean and trim it. Then we watched a movie.

On Sunday, we went back to his parent's house to paint and finish cleaning out the house. It was sad because DH realized that it was probably the last day he would ever be in his childhood home. It was a sad but productive day.

Huskerfanz- It is hard with DH gone so much and I do miss him a lot. Eventually, you will get use to it.

  • I worked all weekend, which is kind of a bummer. I hate being on a different schedule than DH. However, I was promoted to full time. Although it isn't looking to be my dream job, I'm happy to have a full-time job when many aren't so lucky.

  • It was good! I had gone back to my parents' house for the week before since I wasn't on the schedule at all for my part-time job (which is really sucky).

So, after a week apart (really hard), we both went to DH's parents' house to prepare for their 25th anniversary party. We spent Saturday getting the place prepared for the party, getting ourselves ready, enjoying the party, and cleaning up after the party. It was a long day but fun!

Sunday, we slept in and then headed back to our home. DH did the draft for his fantasy football last night and then we watched a little tv.

    Overall, a good weekend!

  • It was a good weekend.  Friday night two friends of ours came to visit and we haven't seen them since the wedding.

Saturday we showed them around town and did a bunch of 'tourist' stuff in town since they've never been here.

    Sunday we went shopping.

The weekend went way too fast, but it was a lot of fun.

  • It was a good weekend here!  Friday afternoon I got called for a job interview so that was a good way to start the weekend.  Then my sister, grandparents and my mom came to visit.  My sister stayed the night with us and we went out to eat.
Saturday we slept in a little, I went to Pier 1 with my sister before she left, then DH and I just hung out and watched a movie.
Sunday we went to my parents' house for a cookout.  It was a lot of fun but I was so sleepy yesterday evening!

  • We had a very travely weekend...  drove an hour and a half to our friends' house Friday night, stayed there and hung out (after we went on a "booze cruise" to a local island, which was really fun!), drove three hours from their house to my brother's house on Saturday, stayed there with him and my SIL and my parents that night and hung out, and helped SIL and her FI paint like three rooms in their house all day/night yesterday.
  • We went down the Cape for the 2nd weekend in a row.  It was a lot of fun but I am looking forward to a weekend at home.  My laundry is piling up fast.  :)

I agree Huskers, I don't know if I could handle it if my husband travelled all the time.  I don't think I am strong enough for that!

  • It was ok.  DH is in Russia again, so I was alone most of the weekend.  Saturday I explored the military base - there are actually some OK shopping experiences at the PX (Post Exchange).  Saturday night I had some friends over for dinner.

Sunday was church and then work.  Hopefully next weekend will prove a bit more exciting!
