Still no wedding pictures??

I'm just wondering if anyone else is still without wedding pictures. We were told by our photog that they'd take 4-8 weeks...8 weeks was last Friday. I'm starting get very frustrated! We paid pretty good money for the photographer we had and for the package she provided. She and her husband (assistant) also went out of their way at one point to meet with us to tell us how much they wanted to make sure we were happy.

I just want to know if I'm alone here...our wedding was May 24th.

Re: Still no wedding pictures??

  • Have you been in consistant contact with them since your wedding? I know you were "told" 4-8 weeks, but what did the contract say?

Hopefully you get them back soon!

  • Our wedding was May 29th.  The online gallery came up in 3 weeks and our photog told us we'd have the CD with all the proofs by the end of August.
  • Thanks for your responses.

We've looked over the contract. It doesn't specifically state the length of time, so that could be a problem. But I do have saved emails and the constant "verbal" agreement to 4-8 weeks. Ugh....guess it's just a waiting game. I was so pumped to see them after the wedding. Now it's just kind of a let down and an "oh...they're in now? that's good."

I have contacted her 3-4 times since the wedding. Twice last week I emailed her and she asked if the pictures were ready, how much our balance was, etc. She just responded saying she'd contact me by phone sometime this week. She hasn't contacted me at all but to respond to those emails saying 1) they aren't done, and 2) she'd call. She hasn't. I'll keep at it though.

  • I feel your pain.  I was also May 24th and we were supposed to have ours back in 4-6 weeks.  We still didn't have anything after 6 had past.  He emailed us at 7 weeks and explained the reason for the wait on it though.  We just got the online proofing up a week ago.

I can tell you though that it will still be exciting to see them all once you do finally get them!  Maybe not as exciting as it would have been if we would've gotten them 3 weeks after the wedding, but at least you finally will have them (hopefully soon)!

    Good Luck!

  • We had ours back less than a week after, but we got NO prints with our package.  We got a digital package only and our CDs were waiting for us when we got back from Hawaii.

We don't have our video if it makes you feel any better!  :)  Hope you get them soon!

  • It would probably be best to call her or swing by her office (if that's an option) next week if she still hasn't gotten back via email. All of our pictures are in an online gallery, but we're still waiting on the CD and album, but according to our contract, our photographer still has time. GL!
  • our wedding was May 9th and were were told about 3-4 weeks after, and right on time they called to tell me they were ready. i would give them on a call on monday. maybe they were a little busy and did not get a chance to call. i would not let it go for too long.

  • Thanks for all your thoughts/responses. She did finally email me early this morning and say that it's just taking longer than expected. I'm still pretty disappointed though. I mean, there is no time limit in the contract, but she consistently said the same time frame over and over...we also had a meeting a few weeks beforehand where they reassured they'd do all they could and wanted to show us that they meant business.

Is this something I should let them know? I mean, that we are disappointed...or should we just go with the flow? She says they still aren't done but they're working on them. Ugh. I'm not sure what to do.

  • i would tell her you want a date. if she does not then i would call every other until you are given one.  i called my photographer once to find out the date. they gave me an ETA and they called the day before to let me know they were ready..

  • We got married on May 22nd and are still waiting for our pics as well.  Though in our situation, I'm really not surprised.  I think his usual turn around is about 2 months, but our photographer got married himself 2 weeks ago and left for his honeymoon last weekend.  Last we heard he's almost finished.  We'll probably get ours in a week or so.  I hope you get yours soon.  I'm just dieing for ours!
  • Ours was a May 30 wedding and we're still waiting... Our contract said 12 weeks which passed on Saturday.  I emailed them last week and they said they would be mailed out that week along with the design for our album.... Still haven't seen anything come in yet so I emailed back to see what method they used to ship them and if they have a tracking #.  I'm overly anxious but since it's beyond their timeline written in the contract, I think I have a right to be!  I hope you have gotten yours or will get them soon!  Meanwhile, I'm still waiting.
