Yay new due date!
I saw a new midwife today (she's lovely) who finally took the time to look over my dates and gave me a due date that actually makes sense (my original one seemed too early and no one properly explained it to me)
New due date is Jan 3 2010! Which seems so much farther away (and therefore manageable) than the original Dec 29 2009, I mean I know it's only 5 days, but seriously ladies 2010 is a whole other decade! Who knows when baby will actually come, but I feel better they fixed up the dates since it's almost a week difference and I was worried that it might cause issues if baby comes too early or late.
It's a small detail, but it's made me happy

So true!! Mine is Dec 31st and everyone is so pre-occupied with celebrating New Years!
my birthday is early January and I always liked being the oldest when I was younger, now that I'm an adult and have reached the big age related milestones (drivers liscence, drinking age etc) I'm just older than all my friends! My friends with December bdays always get to be the youngest in the group!
I'm glad it all got sorted out Shannon! I know you really wanted to be able to have a firm date.
I'm still partial to 2009 babies, but I'm sure the 2010 babies will be cool too
Yay for the new due date! I remember finding out I was pregnant in April, and then knowing I was due in December, it just felt like a short time. Having it moved to January makes it feel so much further away, doesn't it?!
I was born Dec 14, and DD Dec 12. Yes it sucks being the youngest in your class, but when you are older, it's cool because you will be the last to turn 50, etc. hehehe
