Anyone watch More to Love?
Anyone watch this show. I watched the first 2 episodes bc my guilty pleasure is reality dating shows.
My opinion:
I liked the premise of the show that "normal looking people" would be on the show since everyone on reality tv seems to fit a certain Hollywood image (except for Ed, of course).
I was disturbed that:
A. They displayed the girls' weights on the screen during their confessionals
B. The girls were portrayed as all being super needy/insecure
C. The guy seems to be a creeper, IMO. Kissing multiple girls the first night--not cool.
Re: Anyone watch More to Love?
haha! I'm with you, I'd love to say that I didn't watch it, but there really isn't much on right now, and I was caught up with all my other shows I have on my DVR(that's the excuse I'll use~lol!) Anyway~ I was totally appalled(sp?) that they posted the girls weight. What was the reasoning in that~to prove that they really did get heavier girls?! not sure of what that was for. At least they posted his weight too! But its not like they do that on the bachelor/bachelorette. Strange. And the dude definitely looks creepy~like he's a pervert or something. Just the look in his eyes as he was talking to the girls was strange. YUCK!
i watched it last week but missed this week!
a. yes, totally crazy that they showed the weights!! they would never do this with the skinny bachelor!
b. i think the girls are super needy and insecure. it would have been nice if they had cast a few confident plus sized women!
c. not sure wat to think of the guy yet...but i give them all props for getting in swimsuits on national television. i would never have the guts to do this!
I like the idea in theory and while I hate the weights being posted, I think it was interesting for some of the women who I never would have thought were overweight.
I was upset, too, that some of the seemingly confident women broke down quickly too. I hope this guy doesn't turn out to be a total jerk, but even my H was creeped out by some of his 'c'mere and kiss me' lines.
After the second show, I am just so annoyed with how the show is portraying overweight with being insecure and not being able to find a man. Why do the two have to go hand in hand (as the show is making it seem)?
I was hoping that the show would be about real people trying to find love...unlike the bachelor which shows bunch of model-types looking for love. I thought it would be about self confident women who may not fit a Hollywood stereotype.
Instead, it is basically telling society that if you are not a size 2, you will have hard time finding love...total crap IMO.
