What is the first thing you notice in this picture (besides David)?

The first thing that pops in your head. This isn't a trick question either. I'm just trying to gather some data.
Re: Humor me for a moment
I'd wait for a few more responses but the first thing DH said when he saw these pictures on FB was along the lines of OMG the grass looks horrible!. I responded that nobody would notice the grass.
lol, I bet if you asked this same question to a bunch of guys their answer may be different. MH would probably notice the grass too.
Ditto, ... even though there's a massive black grill cover closer, I look at the garbage can.
ETA: he'd have a ***-fit if he saw our lawn. Last year, MH fertilized and it looked fairly good. This year, after not getting ANY rain in GB for like 3 weeks and we refuse to water it (we have a massive yard & it's a RENTAL), it's completely brown. There are slight patches of almost greenish-brown now that we've had about 3 storms come through in the past week or so. LOL
Our "competition" is our neighbor across the street who also happens to be DH's cousin. We planted flowers, they planted flowers the next weekend. We did our front landscaping, they went out and bought a new flowering tree for the front of their house. It's crazy.
They also have a water system (we do not) and dh will comment how even though they have one, their grass is still dead here and there. I just roll my eyes and walk away. Yes it's nice when the lawn is nice and green but I'm not shelling out loads and loads of money on water in the suburbs. If we lived in Chicago, it'd be a lot cheaper.
This is what Greg does. "I want our lawn to look like this one!" or "This guy takes really good care of his lawn...nice edging, thick & green." LOL
He wanted to fertilize the grass that many times but I had to put my foot down because David and the dog. they shouldn't be in the grass. The front of the yard is a different story. I also heard that too much can burn the grass too.
Oh well, it's summer and we haven't got a lot of rain. everyone's grass looks like that, even those that pay for lawn service (their's actually looks worse)
