School starts next week for our district. We have faculty meetings all day today and tomorrow. The students start Monday. Since I am now teaching Kindergarten, my students don't start until next Friday because we have testing Monday-Wednesday and parent/student orientation on Thursday. I'm so exicted about teaching kindergarten. It's what I've always wanted. I taught second grade last year and first the year before that. I'm finally where I want to be. I've spent the last month in my classroom getting it just right. I hope to have a great year!

I can't believe how quickly the summer has gone by! I start with kids in two weeks, teacher workshops are in a week and a half, and I'm bringing back my students for a mini band camp next Wednesday. Crazy!
Good luck on a fun and productive school year!

Summer flew by... I think it's because of the wedding. I feel like I completely missed spring.
Good luck with the new school year!
I'm with RockThis! Where the heck did summer and spring go? Winter seemed really long, but the rest of this year has flown by.
I don't feel too bad for you that summer is gone, because I work all year round...boo! Have a great year though!
How exciting!
Have fun with your kiddies when they get back to school!
I bet they don't let you make your own ice cream out of snow as a classroom activity in kindergarten anymore, do they? Damn environmental toxins these days! (Or, damn awareness, haha. I bet they were there when WE made ice cream) That's one of my favorite kindergarten memories...
I live in South Louisiana where it snows once every 5-10 years, and that snow melts as it hits the ground.
Thanks for all the well wishes! I'm hoping it will be great since it is what I always wanted.
