Mine is going to be a *** and moan instead of Aw, because it's Friday where I am, at 4am, and I can...
*as stated above- it's Friday @ 4am and I'm on my laptop b/c I have heartburn that is HORRIBLE and I can't sleep
*at my dr apt on Wed they didn't check me and I'm dying to know if this kid has any intention of coming any time soon. I've officially hung up the eviction notice in my uterus- she needs to come on out!
* my husband has the flu, or something. He's so sick, poor thing. I feel bad for him b/c he never gets sick, and he was down for the count w/ a fever and everything yesterday. We are sleeping in separate rooms. I have him drugged up on every med out there b/c he HAS to get better. I don't want a sick guy in the delivery room w/ me and he can't use this as an excuse to get out of it
Plus, I can't afford to get sick right now, and I don't want our newborn around a sick guy either. And I know it would kill him to not be able to be around her when she's first here if he is still sick.
*they are working on upgrading the water lines here on base, so our entire side of base will have the hot water shut off from Aug 17-21, and again the 27-29. that's just lovely timing, since baby girl is due Aug 15th, and my parents get here Aug 19th. Seriously, me, mom, dad, Brett, and baby all in a house where we can't shower for a week? Kill.Me.Now. I'm gonna call tomorrow and complain and tell them my situation. Cross your fingers they will give us a room at the lodge or something. I'm sure they will just laugh and me instead and tell me to suck it up instead, the housing office here isn't known for being overly nice.
*I do have things that I am very blessed to have I know- my hubby, my parents coming for 3 weeks, a new baby on the way- so I have lots to AW about really, but I'm just annoyed at all the other crap going on. Thanks for letting me vent on your AW Carrie (and color me jealous of your induction date- they won't induce here until 42 weeks!!!! Baby girl better be out by then!!!)
That is a long time to be without hot water! What do they expect anyone to do?! I understand for a few hours during a day for a few days in a row but not completely off for 5 days! Sorry you are dealing with that right before baby gets there. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and you will have her in yours arms shortly though! (And maybe she will help you forget about the lack of hot water??)
