Any Yankee fans out there?
I'm just wondering if there are any Yankee fans on this board. I'm such a total die hard fan and was so excited to see the post below about the Yanks/Sox game. However was kinda bummed to see the the actual post and responses. I know I'm new to the board but not new to New York. Do I have any buddies out there with me???

Alas, i am one of those non-Yanks fan...my DH was born and raised 40mins from Boston so i became a fan as well!! (i'm from NM where we don't have sports teams and my youth was spent inside at a dance studio...) There are only a few of us BoSox fans on this board, but we never make it a big thing. We know our geography...
This is a cool group of ladies and i know you'll find some Yanks fan!!

Hi There,
I am a Yankee fan by marriage
I dont really care for sports too much but DH is a die hard fan. I watch the games with him all the time and we have been to a couple of games this year. I believe a lot of the girls on the board are Mets fans!?!? Atleast a lot of the NY ones were on The Knot.

I'm in Westerleigh now, I was in Oakwood til I got married. Have you always lived on SI or are you an implant?
ohh i'm an implant. I grew up in jersey but moved to NY since hubby's a fireman and I really didn't have much of a choice.
I am a Mets fan but DH is a Yankees fan. I will root for the Yanks when they aren't playing the Mets and I despise the Sawx as much as any die hard Yankees Fan.
It's funny, my BIL is a Sox fan and his son is a Yankees fan and I think it broke BILs heart when he found this out.

that's funny about your BIL- I joke with my DH that if we have a child that grows up to be a Sox fan I'm kicking them out
Squishy -- me too! My poor DH is so upset with the Mets right now. I'm afraid he'll get injured just watching the games.
Nervous for this weekend! But hopefully the Yanks will keep it up like they did tonight.
