Cincinnati Outlet Mall-NE been yet?

I know they just opened today. But please post if you felt it was worth it to even go. Were the deals good? I want to make a trip up this weekend, so I was just wondering.

Thanks-Michelle

Re: Cincinnati Outlet Mall-NE been yet?

  • I have not been-BUT I-75 is torn up in both directions for several miles around exit 29 and OH-63, the main road in front of the mall is also a mess.  I think they're widening the road but a couple of weeks ago it was just one lane in each direction and detours to get to all the other shops up there. We drive 75 from Dayton to Cincy about once a week and I bet 3/4 of our 50 mile drive is construction.  I know that when Ikea opened the traffic on 75 and at the exit was awful and there wasn't any construction going on then.

  • I went this morning.  Nothing exceptional.  It wasn't too packed when we got there at 9a, but when we left at noon parking lot appeared to be full.  Some stores were too crowded for me, others were ok.  (Think black Friday)

I leave on the east side, so I did not have to face the 75 traffic.  I'm not sure I'd be willing to deal with that, especially Sat or Sun (when the flea markets are open)

    Just my 2 cents!

  • I went and I'm glad I did just for the experience.  I also got there just before opening at 9:00 and left around noon.  The lot was only about 1/3 full when I got there (probably because everyone was stuck on I-75), but it was completely full when I left at noon.  I'd recommend getting there early in the day and take back roads.

Banana Republic had the entire store 40% off.  Stride Rite had a ton of kids shoes for $20 a pair.  Gap didn't have anything special going on, but they had some really cute stuff.  I wasn't impressed with Ann Taylor Loft at all.  DD ran out of steam before I could get to J.Crew.  Coach looked packed.

  • when you say banana was 40% off, do you mean 40% off regular clothes/prices?  or 40% off their already discounted prices?
  • I dont frequent Banana Republic - but it appeared to be 40% off regular prices.
  • I just got back from there it traffic is horrible.  Some of the stores had good sales but others looked like full price, not even outlet pricing.  Banana Republic was 40% off the outlet price, but it was so packed you could barely look and the fitting rooms had a 30mn wait.  Sadly I left with nothing from there. Sad
