Christening gift?

I'll be going to a Christening in a few weeks for the son of good friends of ours and was wondering what type of gift to give.  I wanted to give money, but wasn't sure whether to write a check or give a savings bond, or something along those lines.

 Any ideas?

Re: Christening gift?

  • I always give a bond for a Christening.  That's pretty much what my daughters got for theirs, as well.
  • Savings bonds are popular. I think I heard something about bonds being frozen though but I know there are a couple types.
  • I like the idea of a savings bond because chances are they still have a lot from the shower and the baby isn't really old enough to need anything else.
