Fabulous engagement gift?! Pls help!

My best friend got engaged 2 weeks ago, and I want to get she and her fiance something special, but I'm at a loss for ideas.  I feel so out of the wedding loop less than 2 years after my own wedding.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Fabulous engagement gift?! Pls help!

  • I don't think I've ever bought an engagement gift.

But hi, fellow lover of orange.  Smile

  • I've only bought lame items like rhinestone "Soon to be Mrs...." tanks.  But I'm hoping to do something a little more personal this time.  Maybe some fabulous stationery with their names?

And hello back at you :)  You would love how much orange we've got going on in our baby girl's nursery!  My husband thought the obsession would end with our wedding, but alas, not so much.

  • my standard e-gift is a nice wedding planner (the last one i gave was the martha stewart version), some current bridal magazines, and a bottle of wine.

This is the only kind of egift I've ever given.

  • Forgot to add that the nicest engagement gift we got was crystal toasting flutes that we ended up using at our wedding.
  • I got my bff note cards with her and her FI's names on them...no last name.

She loved them. I got them from vista print.

Another simple useful idea is to get her a box of 50 or so busniess cards with her first and last name, phone numer and email address on them. She can use them for her planning stage of her wedding to hand out to vendors.
