Reading-ish area ladies: Where is that place?
I only ever found this resturant by accident when I got lost awhile back driving around up by Stokesay castle. I could swear it was off of Angora road or some such.
It was heading out towards Boyertown or Olney way that is white, and has decks and fake palm trees, but I don't think it's the Tiki Bar on Manatawny Rd in Boyertown. Yet I could be totally wrong.
Does this ring a bell to anyone?
My dad wants us to take him there for his birthday dinner! He's always a class act. Ha-ha!
TYIA!
Re: Reading-ish area ladies: Where is that place?
That wasn't it, but it looks cute and along the lines of what my dad wants so we may have a winner.
Have you ever been to the Beverly Hills Tavern? Decent food? Okay prices?
hubs (master of roads) says it was probably The Cove. sound familiar?
BHT is pretty good, we go there for drinks sometimes but I haven't been there for actual food in years! California Bar & Grill (BHT's counterpart in kenhorst area) is good, we go for lunch and wings.
prices decent for both I believe.

you know, I've lived here for over 10 years, but couldn't tell you where boyertown or stokesay is or how to get anywhere near either of those places! so I just ask my husband. it's kind of sad. : )
but I can read a map like nobody's business.

Kitty, I think it was The Cove, but the BHT looks good to. Good to have options.
I've lived in the area 3 years and I still get turned around on the back roads. I once wound up in Allentown. How it happened? No idea.
Sad part is I used to work for a company where I would give directions on a map for people all over the US and Canada. I could tell you all the major highways in the US from top to bottom, and rattle off directions without looking at a map. Yeah, those days are loooong gone. My navigational mojo is gone.
My cousin just posted on Facebook about going to the Captain's Cove on Saturday and I was like huh? Never heard of it before. Then come here to see all this talk about it - I may have to check it out!
Totally not related, but for those in the area...there is an Oktoberfest every year at the Liederkranz right next to Stokesay and it is a great time! So nice to sit outside on a crisp Fall night w/ a beer and fun entertainment. It's a great festival atmosphere
