Happy Monday, how was your weekend?
Good morning ladies. How was your weekend?
We did lots of cleaning this weekend, hanging out and doing laundry. Friday night my parents came over for some sushi. Saturday, we hung out at home and watched a movies at night. Sunday, we had Sasha's pedi appt and she had some blood work done (ick), then we went to visit my ILs in SI; Sasha and I got to take a nap there too (she wouldn't fall asleep in the crib they have there, so we ended up napping in the huge guest bedroom bed, not too bad if you ask me).
Hope you all had a good weekend!
Re: Happy Monday, how was your weekend?
surprisingly nice-
I had a girls weekend planned with my best friends, which I was really stressed out about and not looking forward to. I have just been too tired and plus I have had this ridiculous cold. One of my friends is sort of high maitenance and although I love her, she takes a lot of energy. So she ended up not being able to come. Of course I missed her, but the weekend ended up being so much more relaxed and restful than I thought it would be.
Friday night dh and I stayed in and watched the end of mad men season 2
Saturday the girls and I went and picniced in prospect park and then had a lovely dinner at a tiny indonesian place nearby.
Sunday brunch with the girls, and when dh got home from work we set up our co-sleeper.
Fri: drove to Delaware and got to my aunt's by about 10:30pm. Stayed up chatting with my autn for about 1.5hrs even though DH and i were both quite tired.
Sat; woke up to see my aunt before she had to head to work. Hung out with DH, got ready and headed to my grandma's for lunch. Chatted with her for a bit then headed to the Dogfish Head Brewery for our 2pm tour. It was fun! We got 4 free samples each, but i didn't drink much since i was driving and DH is more of a fan of their beers.
Got back to my aunt's, took a nap, started getting a headache, my aunt came home, she took a nap, we chatted, then we got ready and headed out to the restaurant my aunt used to work at for some dinner and a drink and karaoke. The music at the restaurant was too loud and wasn't helping my headache.
I sang 2 songs at karaoke and my aunt was very impressed, and so were her friends.
We finally left and i headed right to bed cuz of my headache.
Sun; slept terribly!! My brain was hurting, my stomach was cramping and i was having menstrual cramps on top of it all. Oy! So i woke up with a slight headache and still had stomach cramps. DH made me coffee and that ended up making my head feel way better!! Had breakfast with my aunt, i went back to bed, she went shopping, DH watched tv, then we got ready for lunch and for meeting my aunt's new bf!! He's nice, but he has to leave abruptly cuz of his (apparently) selfish teenage daughter.
We head to my grandma's to say good bye but end up staying for about 1.5hrs!! As we leave DE, it POURS!! But not for long and the rest of the drive is uneventful. We get to Brooklyn just after 11pm and head right to bed!

Hey ladies:
My weekend was busy (as usual) and didnt go at all as I had planned.
Friday: had several appointments, including one to update my green card..after all the running around I was tired. So I just came home and relaxed a bit. DH did some painting in the room that we have designated as the office.
Saturday: woke early, then headed to dentist, ran some errands, did laundry and was supposed to attend a birthday party but by 9pm I was so done, just ordered pizza and called it a night. DH and some of his buddies did amazing work on the house especially the LR and DR.
Sunday: we slept in (it's been a while since we both did that). Woke up, went to HD to get supplies, returned to HD a 2nd time for missing supplies. DH mowed our lawn (finally!) LOL I cooked lunch (ended up being dinner) and that was that for our weekend.
Have a great day ladies!

We actually had a wonderful weekend! I can't believe it! Friday was so horrible (see previous post), but we had plans to go out of town - to be the godparents for the baptism of the son of close friends. They put us up in a GORGEOUS hotel, sent up a bottle of champagne. We spent Saturday morning at the pool with Nora, having a blast, watched the boats on the connecticut river and while Nora and DH took a nap, I got a pedicure and hung out on the dock enjoying my book and a beer. THen a fabulous dinner out with our friends and their family visiting from Ireland--great party. Then Sunday for the baptism and party after, a wonderful weekend overall!
If you're looking for a great spot for a romantic weekend away--we stayed at the Saybrook Point Inn in Old Saybrook, CT. Here's there website:

Great room with balcony overlooking the water, beautiful spot and ADORABLE little town and easy distance to lots of attractions (Mystic, Casinos, etc.)
