I read purely for entertainment. I am not one who analyzes writing style/plot/characters etc. I can if I choose, but I choose not.
I just either like it or not. As you can probably tell, I like suspense/crime novels but I am also a sucker for a novel with a bit of Irish magic (most of the Nora Roberts books). I do read some romance, but I like them to have some suspense thrown in.
**PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS BOOK!!!! While well written, and definitely a page turner, it was by far the most disturbing of horror novels I have ever read! It literally gave me nightmares. I wanted to stop reading it, but it was like driving past a car accident - I just had to look. I will not pass this book along to anyone and as much as it pains me to destroy a book, I will probably tear it up or burn it in the fire pit to save anyone else from hving to read it. It is based on a true story, which makes it all the more disturbing. Some things you are just better off not knowing! Re: My Booklist...
Thanks for the list! Of course I had to read the reviews for the Ketchum book.. It sounds like something I would like, but with my over emotional connection to everything right now, I'm not sure it's would be the right time to read it.
It's like when you're told not to touch something, you just have to have it... maybe one day I'll be brave and get it.
