  I have only done it once and at the place where we got our wedding bands, they did it for us for free. I need to clean mine soon too, I think I'm just going to pop in any jewelry store here in Brooklyn to do that. I'm not sure about the cost though.

  Until you find a jeweler you trust....try good old Windex and a toothbrush.  It will work wonders.  Let the rings soak in the Windex for 15-20 minutes and the scrub them with a tooth brush.  Push the bristles into the openings to push out the dirt.  Repeat as necessary.  Rinse with water but make sure the drain is CLOSED or that you are doing it over a bowl in case you drop the rings.  Dry them with a paper towel.  I have used this method for years on gold and platinum and my jewelry comes out shining!

  This.  But I am also in dire need of a professional cleaning and a redip for my rings.  It has been hard to find someplace local.
