Bakeries...

I need a Black Forest Cake.  Does anyone know of bakeries that make these frequently?  I thought Servatti's would but they only have a Black Forest Torte...not what I wanted.  I would also like it to be in NKY if possibly but am willing to travel a LITTLE.

    Did you actually see the torte at Servatti's?  B/c some bakeries call a cake a torte when they spit the layers into thinner layers (so a cake with two layers becomes a 4 layer cake with more filling.)  So Servatti's torte might really be a cake with a fancy name Smile  I would also check Bonbonerie on Madison Rd, Bluebird Bakery in Glendale, or Jungle Jim's in Fairfield.  They all do fancy, more unusual cakes.

    This and most Black Forest Cakes that I have seen (and made) actually are tortes. What are you thinking when you think of Black Forest cake?
