Specialty Shoe Store

I am looking to buy some good walking/running shoes and have no idea where to go.  I want a proffesional and someone that knows what they are talking about to fit some to me properly.  Does anyone know where to go around Cincinnati?

Re: Specialty Shoe Store

  • The Running Spot in O'Bryonville (next to Hyde Park)

  • There is also a running store in newport. Can't remember the name, but it is on monmouth about 1/2 a block from the levee.
  • The Running Spot.  They are awesome, they watch how you walk in bare feet before putting you in a gym shoe.  I have flat feet & going there was the first time in my entire life that my gym shoes have not given me shin splints.

  • The one by the Levee is Meters and Miles. They are a little smaller but still have a good selection and the people there are very nice.

Besides the Running Spot, there is also Fleet Feet by Kenwood. I felt that they spent a little more time with me than the people at Running Spot, but they are really both good options.

  • I go to Fleet Feet and have always been pleased.  Like PP have said, they spend time with you, get to know you and what your goals are.  Shannon did my fitting and was great!  She had me run outside so she could see how my feet hit the ground.  I tried on quite a few pairs of shoes and she worked with me until I found a shoe that worked for me.  I absolutely LOVE my shoes!  I highly, highly, highly recommend Fleet Feet!

  • I was thinking of going to Fleet Feet in Kenwood, so I'm glad others recommend this store.  About how much (range) should I expect to spend for running shoes?
