DH and I have faced up to the fact that with our schedules and DH probably going into OT as well we just can't keep up with the housework.
So how much do you girls pay? How often do they come? And what exactly do they do?

I found Maids for Hire on craigslist.com. Ema comes every Friday and cleans the entire house (takes about 3-4 hours). I pay her $70/week. We have a 2 story, 2000sf house.
Worth every penny! :-)
She does EVERYTHING! We've been really pleased with her!

Thanks, Lori! Can you hire her on weekly basis or is it like a contract where they come every week. Never had anyone clean our house before, but it is getting harder and harder to keep the house in tip top shape these days.
No contract was signed. I just asked what the price was for a weekly cleaning vs. every other week (like I did with Molly Maids at $110 a visit!). I'm sure you can just hire them for when you need them. Before C and I had Sarah, we had someone come just once a month for a long time...then when we first had Sarah, every other week was fine but it sure is nice to have it done every week now! :-)
Our HK comes once a week. Cleans everything for $170 a month. It's a husband and wife and it usually takes them about 3 hrs or so.

They do my sister's house every other week but charge her a bit more because her house is bigger. My sister says it's still like 1/4 the price MM's was charging her.
I actually just hired someone today. I can't be bothered to clean the house anymore.
Our house is 1,800 square feet and 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths (two stories). She is charging me $75, which seems reasonable for the area. I think I am going to have her come every 2 weeks.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
