Now that I'm starting to think about house things, I was just curious if most people prefer carpeting or hardwood floors and why?
Re: Poll: Flooring
We are doing carpets in the bedrooms upstairs, because like you all, I like to have something warm and soft under my foot when I wake up. We are doing tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms, for easier cleaning and just in case of flooding and HW floors in LR, DR and hallways coz DH thinks it looks fancy and I guess it would be easier to clean.

Between the cats and the baby HW is the way to go for us. Unfortunatley, our apartment comes carpeted and it looks like krappp! When we get our own place we will carpet the bedrooms and do HW through the rest. I wouldn't mind HW in all rooms and areas in the bedrooms, but dh likes carpet in the bedrooms.
I would love radiant heat floors!
