I
was wondering if any of you know any charity org that would come p/u donations. I just called United Cancer Society Research b/c we got a card from them asking for donations, but when I called, the lady who answered the phone was so rude, you would think I was the one begging for donations. She was literally yelling at me!
I was so disgusted with her, I hung up the phone. It makes me not want to help them. We have a lot of stuff we are trying to get rid off, so it would be more convenient if someone can come and pick them up. Thanks.
Re: Donations Pick Up
Salvation army will pick up. But, they're kind of picky.
Goodwill sends bags around my neighborhood a lot. Maybe them?
And sorry to hear about your experience. That is awful!
I wish Goodwill did the bag drop off around here.
J it sucks she was so rude when you were trying to do someehing nice. I even read in the paper that donations are down nationwide.
Wow, you should contact their main offices.
I won't ever donate anything to the Salvation Army. The last bf I had before dh worked as a manager for them in several stores around the IE and said they badly treat the people they are supposed to be helping (rehabilitating). He would come home so depressed about the things he saw and ended up quitting because of it.
That's just sad.
