Recommendations for Realtor for first-time buyers

I know this topic has been posted before.  We are looking for a realtor that specializes in first-time home buying and is located in the Kenwood/Montgomery area.  We are wanting to stay in this area, 275 or within, on the East side, so we would like someone who knows this area.

Thank you in advance!

Re: Recommendations for Realtor for first-time buyers

  • I highly highly recommend Pat(ricia) Chrysler of Remax (www.athomewithpat.com).  She is licensed in OH/KY and has worked in the business for many many years buying and selling houses in all parts of town and of all different price points.

DH and I were first time home buyers and Pat was very patient with us (it took us about 8 months to find our home!).  She took the time to educate us on things to look for and held our hand throughout the process.  She never takes on more than she can handle.  You will deal directly with Pat (vs.team members) and if she happens to go on vacation (which she did during what ended up being part of our negotation process) she will assign a trusted realtor in her absence.

It has been almost 2 months since we closed and I actually just talked to Pat yesterday as I was trying to figure out which side of our 60/40 sink to put the disposal on.  Another instance was the day after Christmas when we called her to ask her advice on what size tree to buy for our future home.  These aren't things she has to do but she does because she always goes above and beyond for her customers.  She really is like a friend and we highly value her advice!

  • Are you looking for a house or condo?
  • I love Jessica Bauer (jessicabauer.com).  She is with Remax.  She was great at explaining everything to us, and she knows the area and what to expect.  She also invests in real estate herself, so she knows what will be a good investment down the line.
  • We're looking for a house.

(I accidentally posted on my Knot username, but it's me, kmogilevski=katushka)

  • We used Luann Anderson with Huff and she was great. Her office is in Mason, but she knows the entire city (we were looking from Milford to Mt. Healthy) and is extremely willing to work with you.

  • There's a nestie who's a realtor - asphire.  Here is her e-mail:  amandasphire  at yahoo dot com

    She worked with us!

  • We used Lori Kempton with Remax.  She has answered every single question we've had, and believe me we've had a lot of them being first-time home buyers ourselves.  She has never been hard to contact, in fact she's replied to every single email or phone call within a few minutes of sending her one.  She is licensed in OH and works out of an office in Liberty Twp.  Her website is www.loriksells.com and her number is 513-280-0360.  She works very hard for her clients and is willing to explain everything to you and works her schedule around your needs, any time and day you need her she is there.  I highly recommend her!
  • I would rec Mary Winn & Rick Godar of Comey & Shepard.  I actually got their names from another Nestie and my husband and I close on our first home tomorrow.  They are great!  Let me know if you'd like their info and GL!
