I'm addicted to buying mat clothes

I don't think it's really overkill, it just seems like a lot to me.  For the past 3 years I've put off buying clothes because I was always hoping to be pregnant or saving my money for treatments.  So I'd buy a piece here and there, but never ever bought a whole whack of clothes for any season.

I just went on motherhood's website and bought 3 pairs of pants, 2 dresses and a shirt - all for fall/winter.  But in my defense, it all came to $100 with tax and shipping, so it's not like I spent a fortune.  But still, it feels so weird to be spending money on myself.

    I know what you mean (about clothes in general). I really don't buy clothes very often so when I do, I feel like I'm spending too much! $100 is a really great deal for all of that though!!

    Sounds like you scored some good deals! You know, my mom never spent any money on herself when we were growing up, the idea of spending $100 on clothing would have never occurred to her...but it always made me feel guilty. Like, she'd buy stuff for us kids and never for herself. I think you should enjoy treating yourself...you deserve it!

    You reminded me that I had been planning on picking up a few maternity shirts...so I just ran out to motherhood and spent a whole lot more than I should have!  Thank goodness for credit cards!

    A) it sounds like you got some sweet deals

    and B) you've sacrificed a hell of a lot of shopping over the past few years to get where you are right now, so I say spend away! Pregnancy is uncomfortable enough as it is, you might as well look/feel good in what you're wearing for it!

    Motherhood Maternity totally saved my life when I needed clothes. I wore everything out! Don't even feel guilty, you will get lots of use!
