Baby stores other than BRU?

We are having serious stroller issues. We even got into a fight that ended with me giving DH the silent treatment. For reals, this is crazy!

Are there any stores other than BRU where I can check out strollers? I have found gazillions of strollers I don't want but can't find one I do!

Re: Baby stores other than BRU?

  • Baby Depot @ Burlington Coat Factory. I've never been there but I checked them out online because I was given some coupons for it.
  • There's USA Baby in Riverside (or is it Baby USA...I alwasy forget).  Anyway it's right off the 91, kinda near the mall (of course these directions are coming from someone who lives in South Corona and doesn't get out that way very often).  :-)

  • What stroller are you looking for? There's a USA baby closer to you in San Dimas right off the 57 and Arrrow. That location is having a store wide sale 8/11-8/31. I LOVE the stuff there.

  • After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

  • I take it that Target wouldn't have what you are looking for...right?

  • Never been there, but I was going to say USA Baby, too in San Dimas.
  • I went to the USA Baby in San Dimas and thought it was small and didn't have a very good selection. :(

I've never been to the one in San Dimas but I thought the one in Riverside was good-sized and had quite a bit of stuff, including a bunch of strollers.

  • What kind of super duper stroller are you looking for?
  • Well, here's the thing...I had my heart set on a Bugaboo. I finally convinced DH that it was the stroller for us.

But now that I've really thought about it....the Bugaboo is not the stroller for me. I've also ruled out the Chicco Cortina after I spent a day at Disneyland with it and hated it.

So....I'm kind of thinking of just going with your average run of the mill Graco. We're also being gifted a Maclaren umbrealla stroller by my mom's friend so I'm less concerned with which full size stroller we get as I anticipate using the Maclaren a LOT due to it's size and convenience.  Also MIL is buying the stroller as a gift and I know that even though she said not to worry about cost, that cost is a concern.

Anyone want to share thoughts or opinions on my idea?

  • Also: I have been to BRU., USA Baby and Bergstroms. Might go back to Bergstroms as the only two I checked out there were the Bugaboo and Quinny.

Definitely. I used my travel system all the time. I loved being able to snap the car seat into it. But now that Mary can be in an umbrella stroller. That's the one that usually goes places with us.

I think that you should consider a snap-n-go. The Maclaren will be really nice and I don't know if you'll even need the full size.

I'm wondering about that, too. Should I just get a Snap N Go and the Maclaren?
At the same time, MIL wants to buy our stroller and mom's friend wants to buy the Maclaren we want. Sooo...I could always throw a Snap N Go on my registry and let MIL and friend buy the other two and have all three options.

    Or is that greedy!?!?!

I also recommend a Snap N Go. I use that one all the time for shopping and what not. We have a Maclaren that we haven't even taken out of the box yet. My full size one is the BOB which I use for walking and eventually running right now, so that one usually stays at home and the Snap N Go is in the trunk for every day errands. I imagine, that I will eventually use the Mac for everyday errands, when we no longer use the Snap N Go.

  • There is also this place in San Dimas:

    Baby & Kid's World Furniture

    501 W Arrow Hwy
    San Dimas, CA 91773
    (909) 394-0477

I haven't been there, but my friends said they have a great selection of strollers. A review online says "Iyou are looking for upscale items - the cadillac strollers versus the budget minded ones... the top of the line cribs and bedroom sets, etc.... this is the place to go out in this area."
  • I agree - sounds like the Snap N Go is a better option for you until the LO is big enough for the maclaren.

However - - if you still have your heart set on checking out other strollers and if San Diego is not too far away for you, then you might want to check this store out: Agana Baby ?(www.aganababy.com) ?We went there when I wanted to 'test drive' an Easy Walker Duo. ?

Sorry, I don't know of a similar store closer to you that carries the types of strollers that they have on their website.

    ?

    Good luck!?

  • Totally recommend the Snap N Go!   It's easy to set up and fold back up - with one hand!  I'd leave it in the back of my car (since I run all errands). Sarah was in it until we switched her to a convertable car seat at about 10 months (or so).

We have a Chicco Trevi stroller that is as light and easy to use as an umbrella stroller but still has a recline so I can lay Sarah back for naps (and diaper changes!).  Plus, it was a lot cheaper than the Maclaren model that has the reclining seat.

We started her off in the Peg Perego Pilko 3 which was nice but it was also kinda bulky.  It pretty much deteriorated on our Ireland trip (we checked it, in a travel bag)...never worked the same and pretty much just fell apart.

  • Just say no to Graco! ?My parents got a Graco when Campbell was a baby. ?Took up the ENTIRE trunk of my mom's Volvo, heavy, bulky and just too much plastic for us. ?

    ?

Look at the Phil and Ted's if you get a chance. ?I think there is still a Right Start store in Pasadena. ?

    ?

Bugaboo turned out to be not the stroller for me (amen that we got it for free). ?I used it as a snap and go. ?We love our Maclaren ... we have two. ?Highly recommended!?
