So I had jury duty yesterday and of course my damn panel number get's called. Get into the court room to find out it's a pretty damn big case in IL. I had to fill out a 50 page questioner (sp, I know) and return to the court house on Saturday at 8:30. I don't want to say what case it is but they mentioned that it could be at least a 4 week trial.
I don't know what the hell I would do if I get put on this case. First and foremost, who will watch David on W and Th? Secondly, there is the thing called a tax deadline and one is quickly approaching on 9/15. I have already told my supervisor and he spoke with HR, who said that the max I can get reimbursed for is 4 weeks. So if this does last longer than that, I'm stuck with the $17.20/day allowance the state thinks you deserve for your time.
Re: F#CK Me with a spoon!
I've already put that on the question sheet. If I have to speek infront of the lawyers on Saturday I will try to plead my case as much as possible.
I have a tendency to be very negative towards things/people that make me do things I do not want to do. Believe me, that statement will come out on Saturday.
If it's the Drew Peterson trial (which I know it's not since you're not in Will County...LOL!) you better get on the jury so you can send that scumbag to jail for life!
I hope you're able to plead your way out of having to serve on the jury on Sat. That sucks!
No, it's not the Drew Peterson case. I don't think I'd mind being on that one at all. It is, however, another murder case, which I'm sure there will be graphic pictures.
Hopefully I can persuade them on Saturday that I'm not a good fit, hell maybe my 50 pages of responses will be enough.
