Baby shower+clothesline poem?
Since we are on the topic of poems....I'm working on my sisters baby shower invites and I have lost all creativity.
I'm asking everyone to bring an unwrapped baby outfit, onsie or bib of various sizes to hang on a clothes line for my sister.
How can I word that b/c it was up to me I would write it exactly the way I explained it too you and I'm not sure if that sounds right
TIA
Re: Baby shower+clothesline poem?
i am not sure how to say that (although i do think it sounds fine the way you worded it)...
but i LOVE this idea! how cute
you might want to ask them to feel free to bring a variety of sizes so she doesnt end up with 30 0-3 month outfits!
Yeah she did but her invite just said to bring a baby outfit that represents you.
Sheri: I did just decide to add to bring a "variety" of sizes b/c she would most likely end up with a bunch of 0-3 months. I already started buying things and got some great deals on summer clothes for the baby for next summer.
I guess I'll just write it the way I said b/c I really am not good with cute little poems. My mom just thought it would be cute if I did it or worded it better but nothings coming to me
No suggestions here, but cute idea!
I hope your sister puts as much effort into your bridal shower as you're doing for her baby shower. You're a sweet sister!
Aww thanks! She's my baby sister so I tend to spoil her
I think the way you worded it is just fine. I think you need to be direct with this sort of thing.
My H and I also went nuts in Carter's (there's a great one in DE) and bought a ton of clothes in a variety of sizes so the clothesline would look started when guests arrived.
We got holiday clothes in the sizes the baby would be at each holiday (they didn't find out the sex so it was tough) and baby sports clothes for all their teams, etc. And pretty much bought half of the non-gender specific stuff in Carters.
Also, if someone wrapped theirs, we just hung it up after SIL unwrapped it.
That's why I'm buying stuff...so it doesn't look empty when people arrive...I figure b/w me and my mom there will be ALOT...I'm gonna go a get her a Phillies onsie and eagles onsie when I see them...any suggestions on where they sell them that's not too expensive?
I put to bring an unwrapped outfit, onsie or big...b/c some people might think i'm asking too much for them to bring a whole outfit even though u can get a baby outfit for under $10.
No advice on poems, but...
I recently found great deals at TJ Max. I was at the Mount Laurel location. i got an Izod golf shirt and plaid shorts for $4. They had Phillies bottles for $1 and Phillies pacifier with clip for $2.99.
Also, though it may be scary, I heard the Burlington Coat Factory Clearance Center in Burlington on Rt. 130 has tons of clothes for next to nothing. I haven't been there yet.
Don't forget you can use Bed, Bath, and Beyond coupons at Buy Buy Baby.
I didn't know you could use BBandB coupons at Buy Buy Baby..that's great to know!
I got her a few outfits and the Burlington Coat Factory on 42...I want to go to the TJMax in Burlington or Marlton b/c they have cuter stuff. I checked out the one near me and they didn't have a ton for little girls.
I just got another cute outfit at Target for $6...I have to slow it down b/c if I keep buying an outfit a day she'll have baby closthes overload
The tough this is trying to figure out what sizes to get in certain things....I'm trying to get her a variety of stuff and some summer stuff for next year when the baby will be 6 months old...so I've been going with 6-9 months b/c I really don't know how big she'll be
This may sound WT, but I highly recommend Cowtown. There's a guy there that has all the Weebok and Nike outfits for half the price of anywhere else. He's in the half barn between the entrances to the bigger barns. Since new mommies tend to wash everything before the baby will wear them, I almost always go there.
