Healthy Nestie Challenge - GOALS

I think the best way to track real results is by only weighing-in on a monthly basis, because in 1 month you can get REAL results!!! Obviously as women, our weight fluctuates over the period of a month so it's really tough to see results if you're weighing yourself more often. So if you're interested, I propose the following:

By August 31, post the following (in this thread):

- Current weight or size (Bust, Waist, Hips, Thighs)

- Goal weight or size (Bust, Waist, Hips, Thighs)

and/or

- Current fitness level (# times per week, length of activity, type of activity)

- Goal fitness level (# times per week, length of activity, type of activity) OR something like a triathalon, 10km run, etc.

AND timeline - is there a specific date or event you want to reach this goal?

AND Motivation - Why do you want to be healthy? Why is it important to you? What motivates you?

Post in here and I will keep track!!! Our monthly weigh-in & status update will be on or around the 1st of each month, so Sept 1, Oct 1, etc

WHO IS IN?? :)

Re: Healthy Nestie Challenge - GOALS

  • Instead of weight maybe inches?  I know personally my weight has really changed much but I've gone down a clothing size.  I think I'm in though because I'm losing focus. Let me think about this and come back later :)

  • Current weight: 162 lbs as of Tues Aug 11

    Goal weight: 150 lbs

Current fitness level: working out 5 times per week, running 4km x 2 and swimming 24 lengths x3

Goal fitness level: working out 5 times per week, running 5km x 2 and swimming 40 lengths x 3 .

Timeline - is there a specific date or event you want to reach this goal? I want to reach my goal weight by Christmas.

Why do you want to be healthy? Why is it important to you? What motivates you? I have read that exercising 30 minutes per day reduces the risk of cancer by 50%,  I want to be fit for this reason. My weight goal is to look good in a bikini (lol)

sure we can do this! could do hip/waist/thighs/bust, I will edit the original post above

  • I'll join! Can we choose to use weight or inches? I'd rather go by weight, since my primary goal is to reach my pre-baby weight.

    Current weight: 162 lbs

Goal weight: 150 lbs to start with; my ultimate goal is 135 lbs

Current fitness level: carrying around a 13-pound baby all day

Goal fitness level: doing some kind of workout (even just a brisk half-hour walk) at least four times a week (in addition to carrying around an increasingly heavy baby)

Timeline: I'd like to reach my pre-baby weight by the end of the year. Three pounds a month is an extremely reasonable goal. I shouldn't be able to fail!

Why do you want to be healthy? Why is it important to you? What motivates you? I want to be healthy for my son, and also so that I can hopefully provide him with a sibling in a couple of years. And I'd really like to be able to fit into my favourite pair of jeans again!
