maybe not...yet

I was going to get induced this afternoon, b/c the dr thought i had all the signs of pre-eclampsia and she didn't want that to get worse. but...all my lab results came back normal, so she doesn't really have a medical reason to induce. sucks, as we were SO ready to meet baby girl today, but i don't want a c-section, and the risks of that go up if you induce. so...it's back to the drawing board for us. Waiting....just waiting...to either go into labor naturally, or they will induce at 41.5 weeks. let's hope she decides to come soon!

Re: maybe not...yet

  • Yeah, I know the waiting is hard, but I think you'll be much happier if you just let things happen naturally as long as that is safe for the baby. Good luck Kim and enjoy this time!!

  • What a roller coaster of emotions!!!! I'm hoping she comes on her own soon!!!
  • I was concerned about the whole induction thing too since the risk of C-Section increases, etc., but just to ease your mind...my water broke with my first, but no contractions so they induced and I also had an induction with the second (post-term) and both went very fast (less than 5 hours) and smoothly so...if you do have to end up being induced it can go well! :)  Good luck with your delivery...newborn babies are the best!! :)
  • I've been thinking about you! Hopefully she'll be here soon and you won't have to be induced. It's good to hear that you don't have pre-eclampsia.
