Thanks ladies! I was really set on getting a house that we can raise a family in and never have to leave. We will never outgrow this house.
My MIL's big concern was storage, but as it turns out the attic is the size of the whole house. My stepfather felt that all the windows needed to be replaced (which eventually we will, but they're really not bad for now), but he's an NJ guy and keeps thinking we could get so much more for our money. When my FIL walked through again on Saturday I think he likes it much more than he did before.
My mom didn't like our house when she first saw it either. She thought it was too small (this from a woman who has never lived in anything other than an apartment her entire life!). But once she saw the progress we were making on it, and how it is now, she loves it. Parents just want the absolute best for their kids, even if they aren't buying it for them.....
