I'm not sure if you will know the answer to this or not since your specialty seems to be with land creatures, but I have a question. A really good friend's brother passed away this week, and I hate sending flowers because I feel like they just go to waste (plus this friends hates plants). But I wanted to do something in memory of his brother. They always went fishing in the summer (threw back what they caught- just really loved the "sport" of it). So I was thinking of making a donation in his name to some kind of organization that keeps the water clean or just protects wildlife in general. Do you know of any? TIA!

Re: ::Saxgrl1::
I would definately rather have money donated than to have flowers that will just wilt and die. Great idea!
Alabama Wildlife Center definately accepts donations (I'm biased, I know). Like you said, we mostly do terrestrial species (and some frogs, snakes, lizards) http://www.awrc.org/make_a_donation.htm
You could also try Alabama Rivers Alliance http://www.alabamarivers.org/
Both organizations are not-for-profit, and without donations, we couldn't exist!
