Hi, just wanted to stop in to introduce myself. My hubby, son and I moved here from the US in March. This is the first time we have lived internationally so I have lots of questions about things that are a little different here.
We are living in Kapuskasing because DH's company transfered him here. He is a mining engineer and I stay at home with our son. I am excited to get to know you guys!
Re: Hello all!
Hi and welcome Rachel!
I'm Shannon from Toronto, ON. I'm not sure if any of the ladies on here are from that far north but feel free to ask away with any questions, this must be a huge change for you from Arizona! Welcome to Canada! Post often
Hope to see you around often
Hi Rachel!
Welcome to the board and Canada:-)
My name is Betty and I live out west in Edmonton with my DH, DS(3.5yrs)and DD(2.5 mos).
I was thinking the same thing about moving to Kap in March - and from Arizona! That would have been a big change!
Welcome! I'm Sarah, living just outside Toronto with my hubs and we're expecting #1 in October. Hope to see you around here often!
Hi! I'm Pam! I live in a place called Windsor, which is about 4 hours south of Toronto!
Welcome!
I was just going to say the same thing. My aunt and uncle lived in Kap for years and loved it.
Thanks for the warm welcome! It was a shock coming up here from Arizona, but the company has been pretty good to us.
I have actually been to Timmins and heard about a lot of the other towns you guys mentioned. DH is actually working in the phosphate mine right outside of Kap.
Wow very cool! I don't think anyone else on this board has lived up north (as in currently lives there)..you must be enjoying the blackflies and mosquitoes..they're pretty hardcore up there in summertime..ha ha..one thing I definitely don't miss about my hometown.
