buy a diamond ring on Ebay?
Re: Would you ever...
There are a lot of factors befor buying it to consider. How reputable the person is based on their feedback, how long they have been in business etc. I guess my only concern would be that if it's a seller and not someone who has an ebay store, that maybe the ring was stolen from someone. But if it's an ebay store, and they fit the above criteria, I would do it.
We buy alot from ebay - even Adam's wedding band (which when appraised when we got it was in fact 100% legit) and we have yet to have a problem with them.
Maybe, but only if I :
1. followed the rec's of above poster
2. got it immediately appraised by an independent jeweler once I rec'd it
3. used paypal or a credit card to buy it, so that I was protected.
I think it is an easy way to get scammed if you are unknowledgable about diamonds.
This for sure! I compeltely forgot about that. I would use PayPal b/c it has a fraud insurance that ebay uses.
