Did you fill out your forms ahead of time for your pregnancy/parental leave? Is it even worth it? Or should I just wait until I get my ROE.
I'm just trying to get everything done ahead of time. I am all good with HR at work, just want to get stuff figured out with the gov't as well.
Re: EI Question.
I filled out my form online and submitted it prior to my last day of work (I did it a week in advance). Then all I had to do was wait for my ROE to arrive and send that into them. I received my online access code about a week after submitting my application (so before even getting my ROE from my company).
I would say it is worth it to do it in advance. It just gets it out of the way.
This is what I did too (well, I finished actually working about 3 weeks before I planned to start mat leave, because I took 3 weeks of vacation. So, once I stopped actually physically working I submitted the form, and then had to wait for my ROE.
