Okay heres the deal.....
I had the "talk" about delvery with my doc yesterday! She has told me that she will not let me go past 37 weeks (which is sept 18th). She highly highly doubts i will make it that far. which is fine by me....as long as the girls are good to go! :-) She did give me the option of c-section vs. vag. now heres my delimma...If i go vag. my doc said even if the second one is breech she can and will deliver breech (i know most docs don't, but she does). Which is good to know. My biggest thing is i would LOVE to go vag. but i ABSOLUTELY do not want to do both vag and c/s, if the second decides shes in a postiton that just won't let her come out on her own. Then if i decide c/s the bad part is, yes its surgery (OUCH), but it is then a controlled situation and the babies quickly come out one at a time. of course anything can change i could not have the choice, ,since i'm at high rish for pre-e, it could just come down to aa c/s and thats it......
So i know it is ultimately my decision, but I was curious, what would you guys do and why??? Thanks...and sorry its so long :-)
Re: Opinions...
That is a tough one. I would NOT want to end up with both a vag and a c/s. I would probably want to just play it safe and go with a c/s.
Ditto what Becki said.
It's a hard decision but maybe having the scheduled c-sec that way there's no chance you'd have a vag then c-sec. If it's scheduled then you're prepared for what's going to happen...the "unknown" is taken out of the picture.
but like the girls said I would be worried to end up with both deliveries
This.
Ditto. I can't believe they're almost here.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
I totally support anyone who wants to go directly for a c/s. In fact my sister who had two kids by vaginally delivery said if she had to do it all over again she would have had c/s and never delivered vaginally.
Also twins is a totally different from delivering singles.
That being said I loved my delivery experience. It took 24 hrs from the time my water broke till I delivered, I was in the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life x 10, and it defiantly changed my body forever.
But laboring to have P, G there holding my legs, counting with me, hearing P's first cry, having him placed on my chest, was truly life changing and a defining moment in my life.
I'm so looking forward to the next delivery and so glad I fought my Dr for the vaginal delivery.

Throwing my opinion out there - FWIW ...
?
I would never elect to have a c-section over a vaginal delivery. ?Doesn't matter how many you are carrying. ?Unless the baby was in distress, there is no reason to electively choose to have a c-section. ?
